Our Mission

The mission of the Canadian Land Trust Alliance (CLTA) is to promote private land conservation and to strengthen the land trust movement nationally through communication, education and the development of partnerships.

• We focus on the development and delivery of programs that benefit the land trust movement.
• We welcome the participation of those who believe in the importance of voluntary conservation of natural and cultural heritage properties.
• We partner with other organizations on mutually beneficial activities.

Our Objectives

• To act as a united voice for land trusts across Canada.
• To promote and maintain public awareness and support for land trusts.
• To co-ordinate the flow and exchange of information, communication and networking among land trusts.
• To train board members, staff and volunteers for land trusts.
